Design & Build
On the design front, the JBL C50Hi is simple and functional. The earphones made entirely of plastic, with one colour. The unit I am reviewing is blue, though the earphones also come in black and white.
The design is very simple and practical, the company didn’t use any metal and texture finishing on it, but that’s not a bad thing it still looks very classy with this simple design.
Let’s take an overview of these earphones, on the main module you will find JBL branding and left/right sign. Part- way down the right side of the cable, you’ll find a simple single-button remote, which can help you to control your calls and music. There aren’t any volume controls here you’ll need to use your phone. At the other end is an L shaped 3.5 mm audio jack. SO
The build quality of the JBL C50Hi is decent, compared to the price I can say it good. But the only flaw in the build of this earphones is its cable, which is thin and tangle-prone and it doesn’t look very durable.
In general, the JBL C50HI earphones look good with a decent build. Sure, they’re mostly built from plastic, but in this case, we don’t mind the lack of metal.
Comfort
The right angle in-ear style canal phone arrangement perfectly fits inside the ear without any wobbling and the soft silicone ear tips make wearing this device, a comfortable and rewarding experience. I wore them for a few hours at a time, and I am quite happy with the comfort offered by these JBL headphones. The JBL C50Hi is very lightweight, only 12g.
It also comes equipped with a decent quality microphone which allows you to take voice calls on the go without much hassle. The noise isolation offered by these earphones is also good, you do not get any unwanted external noise while listing your favourite music.
Sound quality
When it comes to the sound quality of JBL C50HI, it performs really well for the price. The earphones come equipped with an 8.6mm speaker driver, which deliver loud and clear audio. It covers the standard 20 – 20000 Hz frequency range and ensures you don’t miss any significant notes on the music.
Now coming to the Bass sound, which is relatively good- sounding. The earphones deliver a very good amount of Bass, as we expect from a balanced audio headphone. The bass is not very high, so if you heavy bass listener then you should go for other option. But those into genres like rock, classical, and even some pop, will be fine with the level of bass on offer here. The vocal and treble sounds are also good compared to the price, the treble is really balanced and the vocals are clear and crispy.
